jeff greer moved to the seattle area in spring of 2006, and having disbanded his former band in VA years prior, he returned to the music scene with a new sound and a new passion for music.  still connected to his folky/celtic roots, jeff releases a rawness and an honest soul; combining his uniquely passionate vocals, his vibrant guitar-playing style, and his kinetic presence.

the jeff greer band

Jeff greer band, or JGB for short, was a VA based, celtic alternative rock band that disbanded in January of 2004, shortly after the release of their live CD, 'jgb live @ the whp'. they also recorded a studio CD entitled, 'a bigger one inside' in 2000. they coined the phrase and the sound that is known only as 'the celternative', and became quite known in the mid-atlantic region before their break-up. since then the other members of the band went on to do different things, including the creation of other bands. you can find links to those bands in the links section of this site. you can also purchase both jeff greer band CD's all over the internet, but the best way to get them is through CD Baby or on iTunes, through this site.
